Cooper's Story

Cooper was the very first cow at our farm, actually he was a steer.  He came to live with us when he was just a year old and even for a lowline black angus Cooper was small.  To us he almost looked like a mini cow and so we named him Cooper, after the Mini Cooper car.  To know Cooper was to love him.  He made everyone he came in contact with smile while spreading love through his sweet eyes.  

With much sadness Cooper passed away after living with us for just three short but wonderful months.  Although he was with us for a short time he left a mark on our lives forever.

Cooper is memorialized in the logo and name of our farm.  The cow head you see in our logo is the outline of Cooper's head.  The "Ridge" in our name simply comes from the large ridge on our property that slopes down to the creek.

Cooper was a great teacher and showed us just how loving cattle can be. He will forever be missed.
