Cooper Ridge Farm

In 2016 Cooper Ridge was established and it became clear early on that our animals would serve a special purpose.  In 2019 we became a  non-profit organization and officially opened for services in June 2020.

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located in the Augusta, Georgia area.

Utilizing Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT) we provide developmental, educational, and emotional support to children through structured farm-based learning activities.

Our Vision

Our Vision

Improve the mental, physical and emotional well-being of our participants while setting the highest industry standard for AAT involving farm animals.

Why Animal Assisted Therapy?

People today face far greater pressures and challenges than ever before.  Social media and electronics have proven to be both a blessing and a curse at times during those crucial developmental years.  Now add to this the layer of a person struggling with a disability, experiencing social or behavioral disorders, or in need of emotional support.

This is where Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT) comes into play.  Caring for and building a trusting relationship with a non-judgmental animal can be life-changing for a struggling individual.

Animals have an innate ability to help and heal us, if you are interested in finding out more please contact us at 706-381-0880 or email us at friends@cooperridgefarm.org.   We look forward to hearing from you!
